Service Description

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an American Heart Association BLS Instructor to complete CPR/BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam. Course Content: Key changes in Basic Life Support, reflecting the new science from the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC: • High-quality BLS for adults, children, and infants • Use of an AED • Effective ventilation using a barrier device -Pocket mask & Bag mask • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants • High-performance teams – CPR Coach • Opioid Overdose Algorithm • CPR in Pregnant Woman
